Is It Possible To Remove A Tooth And Then Fit A Bridge For A Better Appearance And To Boost My Confidence?

Q.
Hi Dr Moore, I have a lower front tooth which is set much further back than the other three. Is it possible to remove the tooth and then fit a bridge for a better appearance? Although it is a healthy tooth it is very detrimental to my confidence. Having a straight set of lower front teeth would massively boost my confidence. Braces are far too expensive and because the other three teeth have now closed the gap and pushed it further back I believe it would take years to straighten, if it was even possible.

Many thanks.

A.
Hello and thank you for your enquiry. A bridge might work well but it may involve trimming the other teeth so might not always be the ideal solution. If you have a consultation with an experienced cosmetic dentist and discuss all the options available. Braces may be recommended and if you find a practice with a payment plan it may be easier to afford. I hope this helps you. Kind regards, Dr Andrew Moore.
