Is it normal to have sensitive teeth after having crowns fitted?

Q. Hi, ive just had four crowns done and having another 6 soon, upper front, as i have overbite and badly filled teeth. When i had the 4 prepared and had temps one of them was very sensitive, and whilst having the crowns fitted it was very painful, which i explained to my dentist. I honestly thought the tooth was infected. 2 weeks on and its still a little sensitive and im very cautious with chewing, is this normal??,
A. Experiencign sensitivity when having crowns/veneers doen is not uncommon as the tooth has been aggravated. I would advise you to see how the tooth settles over the coming weeks. If at any point, the tooth pain gets worse, then it sounds as though you may need further trt. A simple xray should show any abnormalities. Hope this has helped and good luck
