Is It Common Practice To Pay All Of The Money Upfront And If So Is There Some Sort Of Guarantee Of Completion/Workmanship?

Q.
Hello Dr Moore. Thanks to this website I believe I have found a fantastic cosmetic dentist and am looking forward to having my treatment done. I just had one last question about paying for the treatment; Is it common practice to pay all of the money up-front and if so is there usually some sort of guarantee of work completion/workmanship? Are you asked to sign a contract? Thanks for your help and advice in advance.

Hello and thank you for getting in touch. It usually depends on the dentist, most of my patients pay as they go along and a written estimate is provided at the start of the treatment. You should be comfortable when making these transactions, so try to go through with your dentist before you sign what exactly it is you’d like to know. Some patients get flustered when in the dentist’s office so I’d tell you to make a list of all the things you’d like to get off your chest beforehand and I’m sure your dentist will be able to provide and answer to your satisfaction. I hope this helps. Dr Andrew Moore.
