im showing gums and black marks on my lower teeth

Q. My hygienist removed lots of plague on lower front teeth, exposing gum and black marks on my lower teeth. Spittal ? is coming through my lower teeth now when i talk, making me very self conscious, also with the gum recession, and the black marks which look like gaps, i need someone to help advise me on the next step. I am trying to stop smoking as i know this is not doing my gums any good. I take corsidil and eurofril mouth was every day, and gently brush my teeth, – no more scrubbing up and down. I hope i do not loose any lower teeth.

A. Hi
This is a very common result if gum recession, sometimes in severe cases the teeth could be veneered, crowned or filled to make them look better and to fill the dark gaps. This is assuming that the teeth have a healthy long-term prognosis. If not then you may need to consider removing the teeth and placing an implant supported bridge.

Ideally you need to seek the advice of a dentist experienced in cosmetic and gum treatments.

I hope this helps
