I’m scared of injections, is there an alternative?

Q.
I have a top jaw tooth that has left the gum and is loose also the next tooth to it is a crown on a pin is also loose but not as much movement as the big tooth I took many years to get over my childhood fears of a dentist and have for a long time gone for checkups and hygenist visits twice a year. My dentist has said I would need a roof ingection for the extraction. I would like to know if there is any other way these teeth can be removed as I still remember the pain of this injection for another tooth a few years ago, and can not convince myself it will be different this time. hoping for some advice how to cope with this i.e. could I have a general I am 63 years old, and on blood pressure tablets.

Hello
There are lots of other anaesthetic options for you, such as sedation and possibly a general anaesthetic but the latter is rarely used these days unless in extreme cases. if your dentist does not offer alternative anaesthesia than maybe go for a second opinion
hope this helps
