I’m not sure whether to opt for a root canal or tooth extraction, what do you think?

Q.
hello
I have been visiting a dentist for months who said i had sensitive teeth, and was told to use toothpaste, however the pain became so bad that i had to call the emergency services.

I went back to the practice and was seen by another dentist (private)who said the tooth had to be pull due to having an abcess. I became tearful because they seem to just want to pull your teeth.
The dentist relieved the pain after approx 1 hour by opening the abcess and dressing the tooth.
He then said an RCT((UL6) was required at £550 and the earliest this could be done was march. Since then the same tooth broke to the gum line, it was refilled and now I am in pain again.
I have also discussed having implants to replace the missing teeth but will now than likely be looking else where for this

Should i continue with the rct of just have the tooth extracted?
I look forward to your reply

thank you

A.
If the tooth fracture has not extended onto the root then a root canal treatment is possible
