I’m Not Happy With My New Implants As They Don’t Match Up Properly. What Can I Do About These?

Q.
I have been going through the process of preparing my mouth for two lateral incisor implants for over 3 years. Finally yesterday, my “teeth” were ready to be placed. I was so excited, because I have had holes in my mouth for almost 4 years now. When my dentist handed me the mirror, I was completely disappointed. The teeth are too small, and they do not sit on my gums. Which makes it look like I am still wearing the retainer I had to fill in the spaces, which was way too small. The colouring isn’t right either. I am very very disappointed and angry, because I’ve waited so long. I am 19, and have hated my teeth my whole life, and now after all that work, I still hate them. What can I do about these?

I’d advise that you come for a consultation to be assessed fully so I could advise you properly on what could be done. Where did you have the treatment? If you are unhappy, go back to the dentist. Did they not make a ‘preview’ set of teeth for you before making your final implant crowns? Dr Mark Hughes.
