im about to have the inman aligner

Q. Hi im about to have the inman aligner,i have read through the consent form, and it states risk of killing the teeth,is this a risk with braces or more with other cosmetic treatments,im alittle concerned about this, also i will need my teeth filing to make space will this damage my teeth at all?im looking forward to getting straight teeth but now scared if there are risks

A. Hi many thanks for your enquiry, unfortunately this is like reading the back of a paracetomol box, it will state you could suffer from all sorts and as there is a small change this could happen you would need to be made aware of it. in my experiance there is more chance of damage to a tooth my drilling it for a filling than moving it with the inman alligner, and i believe it to be a very safe treatment. the filing of the teeth should only be carried out in the enamel of the tooth so this again is a very safe procedure with no prolonged effects or damage. hope this helps.
