I’m About To Have Most Of My Teeth Out Before I Get Married And I Want To Know If Anything Else Can Be Done Other Than Dentures Or Implants?

Q.
I need most of my teeth removed as I can’t afford implants. Are there any other alternative options other than dentures or implants as I am getting married and my teeth are rotten and brown, I’m embarrassed to smile. I will have 6 remaining teeth, 2 at the top and 4 at the bottom. I have had mental health issues that prevented treatment earlier, I’m in a lot of pain and I need to feel confident and look good on my wedding day.  I get lots of comments and funny looks at the moment and it knocks my confidence back down, I am desperate to have a bit of confidence back and to control my mental health and I feel a nice, healthy smile would help me achieve that.

Hi! Congratulations on getting married and hope the planning is going well. If you have been told that you are going to loose most/all of your remaining teeth, then sadly there are no alternatives to dentures or implants. I totally understand you wanting to feel your best on your big day and would advise seeing a dentist who is confident in making really good dentures, perhaps one that works closely with a Clinical Dental Technician (CDT), to ensure that if you do have to accept wearing dentures that they are the best that they can possibly be. Dentures can be relatively inexpensive and can look fantastic if made well.
Good luck and I hope you get sorted for your wedding. Best wishes, Marcus.
