i would love to have veneers is it possible to be put to sleep before the start of treatment

Q. Dear sir is it possible to be asleep before the start of dental treatment,i am an extreem phobic due to many bad experiences in my child hood and teens,i have been unable to see a dentist in over 20 years i have visited over the years all of the dentists in my area but have been unable to stay for the appointment through sheer fear.i have a front tooth missing through an accident at work and various chips and would love to get veneers and get my teeth sorted out as it is so embarrasing, and i am so self concious about smiling, if i could be put to sleep i am sure i could go through with the surgery

A. We treat a number of very nervous people in my office.  A large number I can treat while they are awake as over some time we make them very comfortable, the other option we use is IV sedation which allows you to fall asleep while we treat you.
