I Wonder If You Can Help Me. My Teeth Are Discoloured But I’m Not Sure My Fillings Will Whiten. What Should I Do?

Q.
Hi Andrew, I wonder if you can help me. I feel my teeth are quite discoloured I would just get them whitened but many years ago I chipped both of my front teeth whilst on holiday. This was rebuilt by a dentist that morning. They were fine but I feel the bottom of my 2 front teeth are quite thin and don’t look right. Basically as the bottom of these teeth are not my own I’m not sure if they will whiten? Also one of my K9 teeth has a filling on the front and the whole tooth is very discoloured. I’m at a loss as to what my best options are and to be honest the very top of my budget would be £1000, could you advise me please?
A.
Hi. The fillings won’t whiten so you may need to replace them after you’ve completed professional tooth whitening at your dentist. Look around the internet and try to find an experienced dentist who offers free consultations in your area. They can talk you through any treatment which may help you as it’s difficult for me to do so in any detail without seeing you in person. Kind Regards, Dr Andrew Moore.
