I was attakced and broke my jaw, I had an operation but my teeth feel misaligned, what can I do?

Q.
i was attacked a few months ago i had an operation as i had a broken jaw, but my teeth feel out of place still and do not close together properly i would love veneers to correct the problem and make me feel more confident again. i was wondering if this treatment was possible and how much it would cost, and wether it is possible to pay monthly or in instalments?  thanks
A.
Hi
Firstly I would recommend, as part of a consultation, checking your jaw joints and bite before advising you on any cosmetic dentistry. It will take 5 minutes. If everything seems ok, there will be several options to improve your smile from orthodontics to veneers and composite bonding.
We also offer interest-free credit subject to acceptance so you can spread the costs to suit your budget.
As a rough guide, you may be looking at costs in the region of £3000-£5000.
Out of interest, is there a compensation claim going on? One of our dentists wrote several legal reports at his previous place of employment and has an interest in jaw and bite problems
Hope this helps

Hello. I was assaulted and had my jaw broke, my cheekbone, eye socket, and nose. I saw facial surgeons but they did nothing but – pain pills.
Three month passed. Now, my teeth still are misaligned. My surgeon told me that’s the best I can hope – misaligned teeth and pain.
Should I seek another facial surgeon? Am I just normal. Can I be fixed with a new break? Confused!

Sincerely,
Tim

The problem is this: my front two teeth are not lined and off by a whole tooth. it looks as my teeth “though straight” or angled. The two front teeth should be aligned with the middle of the nose.. how can i fix this. When i was young my jaw was removed and replace with a hip graft. i had a tumor in my jaw at 16 yrs and now i am 46years and I didn’t replace the teeth. But many people have missing teeth on the back side. However, why do i have angled front teeth and how can i correct. thanks

I think the best advice i could give you at this stage is to see a specialist orthodontist and maybe an orthognathic surgeon for advice.

Question

I’m Tim with the broken jaw and my teeth don’t fit together correctly. Now they say I have TMJ.
Neither surgeon did any surgery and I’m wondering if that could help. Still taking pain pills for all of the problems.

have you ever come across a case like this? my teeth are VERY misaligned…it hurts to chew, eat and even speak. they’ve been like this for a number of years now. i’ve been wearing braces most of my life and nothing has worked. i’m contemplating just having them ripped out and replaced with dentures/implants. my dentist has advised me against this because my teeth are ‘healthy’. i can’t cope anymore and feel so down as it is.

I’m sure a dentist could advise you however they wouldn’t be happy about removing healthy teeth.
