I Want To Know If I Can Have Braces Through Two Separate Orthodontists In Different Parts Of The World?

Q.
Hi Dr. Riten, I am relocating to the UK from India in a couple of weeks. I am 25 years old and I need your advice on cosmetic dentistry.

My upper front teeth lie ahead of the lower front teeth. I wanted to get braces but heard the medical expenses in London are very steep.

So, I wanted your advice:
1. If I get the braces process started in India, will dentists in London take up the case and treat me?

2. What is the cost of getting braces in UK?

3. Anything else that you can suggest.

If needed, could I also send across my full mouth x-ray.

I look forward to your response.

Thanks.

A.
Hello and thank you for writing in. It is possible for you start treatment in India and finish it in the UK, however, you may find it difficult to find someone willing to take a started case on. Maybe you should look for a dentist when you get here. In terms of costs it varies on the complexity and type of treatment required. This can only be accurately determined through a consultation and X-rays taken. There are also finance options available to help you spread costs. If you’d like to know about the different types of orthodontic systems, such as Invisalign, you can find information through this helpful website. I hope this helps. Kind regards, Dr Riten Patel.
