I Think I Lost A Cap When Eating. Could You Tell Me How Much It Costs To Replace?

Q.
Hello Dr Moore, I really hope you can help me. My cap came off from my front left tooth recently and I think I must of swallowed it after eating because I felt this funny gap when I was through eating. I have had a cap on my front left tooth since the age of 12, and I am 58 years old now and it has come off only twice and replaced. There is like a peg left in, I guess that’s what my dentist did before he gave me a cap. I am so depressed, I feel so ugly, I can’t even look in the mirror or go outside to talk to anyone until I get this fixed. I don’t have insurance but I am willing to pay cash, how much do you think this will cost? Please help me and thank you for your time.

Hello and thank you for your enquiry. As a guide I would say around £500. Have a look at some local practice websites as they should have price lists on there. This will help you compare prices. I hope you are able to fix this problem and get back your confidence. Best of luck. Dr Andrew Moore.
