I Recently Took My Braces Off And Some Glue I Scraped Off Damaged My Tooth. What Should I Do To Resolve This?

Q.
Hello, I had braces and took them off myself and on my front tooth some of the glue did not come off so it scraped it off and it has took a small part out in the middle of my tooth. The small dip after every meal or drink goes yellow, so how can I get around this problem? (I brush twice daily, once in the morning and once at night before bed) any help would be fantastic I’ve started brushing even more recently to try get rid of the problem but nothing seems to work and obviously is knocking on my confidence a bit. Thank you for any advice you can offer.

Hello, and thank you. If you have damaged your tooth removing your braces then I would strongly recommend seeing a dentist to assess the situation. It may be something as simple as needing to polish the tooth surface or possibly a small filling to replace the missing piece of tooth. I don’t think the problem will go away with brushing alone. I hope this helps. Dr Marcus Gambroudes.
