I recently had my teeth whitened but I’m not happy. Now I’ve been told to use a home system. Can I get my money back?

Q. I recently had my teeth whitened by Zoom. I was not offered a consultation to explain risks nor did my dentist make a record of shade/colour before of after. The results were very disappointing and noone has noticed any difference. When I complained to the dentist he offered a home system called “wy10” and charged extra. I feel I have been charged for 2 separate whitening systems. Do I have the right to ask for my money back as the Zoom was unsuccessful?,
A. That would be up to the practice depending on there policy. I always make my patients sign a pre-operative declaration form before we start the tooth whitening and everything is always be discussed before treatment commences. Every patient gets different results with tooth whitening we do recomend you continue to do the tooth whitening at home for about week afterwards with the trays and gel we supply for you, this will give the best results possible.
