I Only Have One Upper Tooth, Can I Receive Implant-Retained Dentures Through The NHS?

Q.
Hi doctor Moore, I was really hoping that you’d be able to help me out with a problem I’ve been having for a very very long time. I am 27 years old and only have one upper tooth. Because of this I therefore have a denture, it is very ill fitting and so loose that i have to glue it in about four to five times a day. It’s making me so self-conscious that I barely even leave the house. I find it so depressing and it really knocks my confidence i was wondering if there was any way that i could get implanted dentures on the nhs. My partner and i are on a very low income and i am also pregnant. I’m not sure if this will impact upon any future treatments that I plan to have. I’m really at a loss as to what to do and as I said this has been a struggle of mine for many years now. Please help.
Many thanks.

Hello and thank you for your question. Unfortunately, I’m afraid that implants aren’t available on the NHS, you could try a new denture though. I hope this helps. Regards, Andrew.
