I Neglected My Teeth During My School Years And Now They Are Really Yellow. Is It Possible For Have Them Taken Out And Replaced?

Q.
Hi Dr Gambroudes. I have had problems with my teeth all my life and I’m now 28 years old and they have all grown out in different directions and they are getting worse. I also neglected them in my school years and as a result they are really yellow. I’m extremely self-conscious about them and never smile with an open mouth. Is it possible to have them all taken out and a new set put in and how much would it cost to do so? Thank you for your time.
A.
Hello and thank you for getting in touch. This would be possible with dental implants but may not be necessary. The best thing to do would be to read and research the various treatments, veneers, crowns, bridges, whitening and cosmetic bonding. Then go for a consultation with an experienced dentist and see what they say. Sometimes it can help to have a number of different opinions before undergoing treatment. I cannot say what would be suitable without seeing you in person. I hope this helps. Regards, Marcus.
