I’m having Lingual braces fitted tomorrow

Q. Hi, I’m having Lingual braces fitted tomorrow and am 31. Recently having spoken to my local dentist I am regretting having chosen the lingual option with the Orthodentist (I chose this for aesthetic reasons as my work involves presenting to outside clients etc). He advised that Linguals are no good – is this the case?? Also how can I ease into the Lingual braces quicker as I understand that eating and talking will be harder??

A. Some people really can not tolerate lingual braces and some really like them.  Other options are removable aligners such as invisalign. A lot of my clients love invisalign and choose them so they can take them out out for important meetings but once they get used to them I find most people keep them in all the time.

This is a question about my lingual braces that I just had it fit yesterday, I am a bit curious that I have not felt any pain at all and would like to know if it is normal as I have read many forums online people tend to suffer for the first week. Also how quick will I be able to see the results of my lingual braces?

You will have started to feel some discomfort by now, if not, count your blessing that the force levels are really nice! Results should be noticable in a matter of weeks.
