I just want to know teeth whitening gingival recontouring and veneers are safe when pregnant

Q. Hi i am thinking about having a smile makeover, i was told i would need teeth whitening, gingival recontouring followed by vaneers. i just wanted to know if these are all safe when pregnant.

A. I would advise against teeth whitening when you are pregnant or breast feeding as the gel contains either hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide.
You should have xrays of any teeth that are going to be treated with veneers, again something to be avoided in pregnancy.
