I hv receeding gums around my teeth Plz help

Q. Pls help im very worried, just got back from my nhs dentist my gums have started to pull away from some teeth, my dentist said this is due to my age, but im only 27, in the past i did brush to hard, my biggist mistake, i have booked an apoinment at red sky dental spar this is a cosmetic dentist, could they help me to retore my gums around some teeth that have reseeded thanks

A. Hi msny thanks for your enquiry, firstly if your gums have receeded around some teeth this can be caused by a number of factors: hard brushing, grinding teeth, stress, gum disease, poor oral hygiene, hereditary. My advice would be to seek a consultation with a periodontist who is more qualified to discuss your recession and also give you some predictable solutions. Red Sky Dental are a good cosmetic practice however have no speciality in periodontics.

Hi, please help me. I am 50 and my gums are coming away from my teeth and my teeth are very wobbely. I suffer from dental phobia after a very bad experiance a few years ago so I have not been to the dentist since. I have tried to look after my teetht the best I can but my mother has informed me that what I have is hereditary as she and my grandmother both suffred from receeding gums.
I can not afford to go private and I am having problems finding a NHS dentist in my area.
Please can you help me.

Please help, my teeth are rotting away but I have a pathological fear of the dentist. To such an extent that I sometimes have nightmares about a demonic dentist chasing me through the streets covered in blood. What can I do to get over this crippling fear before I lose al my teeth?

I would recommend you see someone who can help you cope with your fear and then seek out a dentist who can put you to sleep for your treatment.

I have not visited the dentist for over 10 years, i have been today due to severe toothache. I asked the dentist to remove my tooth. He refused saying i was far to upset and distressed, he advised me to find a dentist who gives sedation. Could you reccommend one near to where i live. Wigan, lancashire. Having sedation is daunting and would like someone experienced. You hear of problems occurring at dentists, do they need to have a certain qualification which allows them to give sedation or have to be registered ? Many thanks

I am sending this question across to you in the hope you can assist but I dont know if you can help me but I really need someones help desperately. I am terrified of Dentists and urgently need treatment but I am afraid to go to a local Dentist. I cannot afford Harley Street prices. Could you suggest an alternative perhaps for me to attend on a make over show you are assisting on. Or could I work for you to pay for the treatment. I am so scared and your experience is very impressive. I know you will suggest all Dentists are good and skilled but I have received very bad treatment in the past that has made me this petrified. Please please help me I will work for you forever to pay for the treatment if you could help me.

I havent visited a dentist for approx. 10 years as i generally have a phobia about dentists. I qualify for free treatment as i have an exemption carddue to receiving working tax credits. I would like to know if i could possibly come and see yourselves and if you treat NHS PATIENTS . I would certainly require sedation as i require quite alot of work to be done. Regards
