I have short roots but i want orthodontic treatment, what can I do?
Q.
Dear Dr Verma
Dear Dr Verma
I had braces when I was younger and the top retainer was removed soon after my braces were removed. Both my upper lateral incisors point inwards and this looks rather unsightly and I have been told that my roots are short and that further orthodontic treatment would not be adviseable.
Is there anything I can do to improve this?
A.
If your roots are short, then it would be inadvisable to have orthodontic treatment again. A great solution is to have veneers on your upper lateral incisors, which may be a great solution to solving your issues with their alignment. Do read more about this procedure on this site ans please see examples of what veneers look like on http://www.sparkledental.co.uk/gallery/veneers-gallery.php, which shows real examples of work I have carried out on my own patients.
