I have had laser treatment for a gap between my teeth but am in great pain
Q.
Well I had a piece of muscle tissue in my mouth that cause a gap between my teeth. I have braces and the two front teeth closed, but it hurt. I went to my dentist appointment and he told me he had to remove that piece of tissue. So today i went and had my laser oral surgery, and afterwards the pain was too much. when will the pain go away and when will it heal because i’m in too much pain and i’m confused plus it hurts to bad?

Hi
Often we have a muscle attachment to our upper lip (called a frenum) that is more pronounced and prevents the front teeth gap closing properly. This needs to be removed for a good, comfortable result. The mouth heals very quickly and I’m sure the pain will settle over the next day or so. I would recommend warm salt mouth washes (warm water with some salt in) to keep it clean and difflam oral rinse if very tender, plus usually painkillers such as paracetamol or ibuprofen if you can take these.
Good luck
