I have had chronic gum disease is it possible to have bone graft and any idea of costs

Q. I have had chronic gum disease, which was controlled by deep cleaning in the “pockets”. Things have now settled down, but several of my top teeth had to be removed as they were loose. I wear a partial denture (valplast), which is fine. I did ask my denist about implants, but he said I had too much bone loss. Apparently the only way forward would be a bone graft or something. Is this possible and any idea of costs. Many thanks for your help, regards

A. Hi sharon  a simple bone graft from another part of the mouth would start from around £1000. If a more extensive graft is required the cost may be higher. You should see an experienced implant surgeon for an opinion and assessment
