I have had a re-occurring infection after root canal treatment, do I have to have my tooth out?

hello,im 55 and my dentist has told me that a double capped teeth has a chronic abcess,he says that i must have them out ,to leave them there would be dangerous to my health,is this correct or is there another option,i have already had root canal on these teeth,and it is a reoccuring infection,he is making me a denture as i have no back teeth for an anchour for a bridge.is this my only option.thankyou best wishes ann

If you’ve had root canal then often removal if the only option, unless you get a 2nd opinion from a root canal specialist (Endodontist)
