I Have Had A Discoloured Bridge For The Past 20 Years. Is There Anyway To Whiten This To Match The Shade Of My Other Teeth?

Q.
Hi Marcus, I have a bridge which is over 20 years old and it has never been as white as my natural teeth. I cannot afford to have a new one made at this time. Is there any way in which I could get it whitened as it is making me very depressed as it looks awful. Also, my dentist told me it would be a lot of work to go through to have a new bridge, which scares me. It would be great if there was some way of just whitening it. Please let me know if there a cosmetic procedure I could have without loads of pain. Thank you.

Hello and thank you for getting in touch. Unfortunately the bridge tooth cannot be whitened, it will need to be replaced to match the colour of your other teeth. You could try to discuss some kind of payment option with your dentist to spread the cost of treatment or begin to try and save up. If you would like further information on painless cosmetic treatments such as dental bonding, you can find this information through this website. I hope this helps. Best wishes, Dr Marcus Gambroudes.
