Hello
You will find lots of information on treating nervous patients on our website. I am a dental phobia certified dentist and have been carrying out sedation for several years now. This may be an ideal way to get your dental health up to scratch with the minimum of anxiety for you.
Why not call for a free consultation where we could chat about the options available

I went into the beginning of shock from IV sedation as a teenager having 4 teeth pulled for braces. Now at 64 yrs.,, I am terrified and might have to have a tooth extracted if root canal fails.

Hello it seems your imagination is running onto the worst possible scenario . Firstly if you can do having a root canal then it will probably be possible to have a tooth out without Iv sedation . 50 years ago anesthetics were very different . Ask for an oral sedative tablet which will help you cope wit having whatever you need

I’m so sorry you are so afraid . The first thing you need to do is to find a dentist who does work under sedation. It depends what treatment you need how much is done at one session . I know that is your ideal , but it may not be possible to do a lot of work all at once . But yes sedation would be an option for you to consider
