I Have Been Told That I Need A Specialist For My Curved Roots. Could My Regular Dentist Do This Instead?

Q.

Hello Dr Moore. I’ve been told that I need nerve root canal treatment as my roots are curved. I would need to see a specialist to correct this. Do you know if this is the correct way of going about something like this? I have no problems with my current dentist, he is very good and I wondered if he could do it instead. Do you know if this is possible? I hope you can help me with this, I’m extremely nervous. Thank you for your reply in advance.

Hello. It’s always best to take the expert’s advice and if you’ve been advised to see a specialist then that’s what sounds like the best option. I am unable to say what the best option is without seeing you in person and assessing your situation fully. Sometimes finding out as much information as possible can help you overcome your nerves. If you’d like more information on root canal treatment you can find it through this website. I hope this helps. Kind regards, Dr Andrew Moore.
