I Have Been Offered Two Different Brace Treatment Types And I’m Not Sure Which To Choose?

Q.
Hi. I’m getting invisible braces soon and the dentist has offered 2 types. One is the fast braces system and the other involves tooth removal & this is the one I’m not sure of & would like your opinion on please. I had a canine removed years ago (it was above the gum & next 2 teeth joined so dentist just removed it) the dentist doing my braces wants to remove the other canine as he’s saying I now have an extra tooth & it won’t look symmetrical. I’m not sure I want this though as it’s a perfectly healthy tooth & I don’t want to be left with big gaps. Do you think this sounds right? I hope you can help me by offering some advice. Thank you.

Hello and thank you for writing in. Unfortunately it’s currently not possible for me to say for sure without at least seeing some very detailed photographs and X-rays of your teeth. Is there a way you could send these to me? Please send them to [email protected]. Kind regards, Mark.
