I Have A Two Teeth Growing At The Top Of My Gum And I Think My Teeth Have Moved. Is This Possible?

Hi Dr Marcus, I am 12 years old and I think my teeth went forward or back as when I close them and put my teeth down it feels strange.
Like there is a tooth in the way. I also have 2 teeth growing on top of the gum. When I close my mouth the teeth on the left it feels like one is in the way. Please help me. How do I know if my teeth came forward and how do I get them to look like they are on my top left next to the top big teeth – the one on the left of the big tooth is behind the bottom left teeth? Is this right? Thank you.

Hello and thank you for contacting me. It’s difficult to say without seeing in person but from the information you have provided me it sounds like you have some impacted teeth growing through. These can cause the teeth to shift out of alignment. I would suggest that you see your dentist as soon as possible and have them check you over.
