I have a rough, ‘yellow dot’ on my tooth, how can I get it fixed?

Q. i have a yellow dot on my front tooth that is rough in texture and i would like to get it fixed, what procedure can deal with this problem and how much will it cost? thank you,
A. it depends what has caused it, if you’ve had a brace it might be some left over glue that could be smoothed off?
