A. You can seek a second opinion from another dentist

Bryana Says :

I had a root canal 5 years ago on my lower left 2nd Molar. Around 2 years ago a small lump appeared on the outside of my gum where the root canal is located, now and again it bursts and yellowy pus is discharged. When I visited my new dentists around 8 months ago they poked around performed an x ray and decided to just leave it.

Current situation:
2 bits of tooth from said tooth have fallen out, the filling that is present is loose and could easy come out, the lump on the side is still present but seems to have become hard.

I wish to have the root canal removed as its been nothing but trouble, is it possible to have the tooth removed completely, are there any repercussions and will the infection go away?
I have not yet consulted my dentist as its only just(10pm) become loose
