I Have A Missing Front Tooth And The Partial Denture Makes Me Ill. How Can I Afford A Dental Implant?
Q.
Hello Marcus. I have lost a front tooth and I’m only in my twenties. I can’t go out any more or see anyone apart from family. My dentist gave me a denture on a plate but there’s no way I can have it in. I’m sick as soon as it’s in my mouth. I’m a single mum with 2 children and I’m getting worse everyday. I was very bubbly and out going and working with loads of friends but now I’m a different person all because of one tooth. My dentist doesn’t provide implants or anything like that and I have got a family wedding coming up but I’m not going because of this. I can’t pay for an implant weekly because I can’t get credit anywhere. What should I do?

Hello and thank you for getting in touch. If you are unable to obtain credit for a dental implant then the only option is to save up as best as you can. You may also want to consider saving up for a better quality denture which would fit better and wouldn’t make you gag. In the meantime you could try and ask your dentist to shorten the plate. Try to find a dentist who has experienced in this area. I hope this helps. Dr Marcus Gambroudes.
