I Have A Lot Of Missing Teeth But Can’t Afford Treatment. What Should I Do?

Q.
Hello Andrew. Please help, I have terrible teeth due to my lack of self care and self respect for my self in my younger days (now 43 years old) lots of missing teeth some roots showing after teeth lost I don’t smile any more I avoid cameras I even try to avoid speaking due to total embarrassment. It makes me so depressed. I’m so desperate for help I work on a low income around 14k a year but don’t know where to turn next I need my smile and my self dignity returned.

Hello and thank you for writing in. It sounds like dentures might be your only option for the missing teeth and you’re on a budget. Perhaps see what the NHS can offer you as you may be able to qualify for free treatment such as crowns or bridges. You could ask your dentist to see if they can put you on a dental hospital waiting list. Also you could try to get treatment through an affordable payment plan allowing you to pay in manageable chunks.
