I Have A Clean Chip In One Front Tooth Which Has Left A Huge Gap. Which Treatment Would I Need To Build It Back Up?

Q.
Hi there Dr Moore, I have one tooth which is just right of the front in the top set which has a clean chip in it, meaning that its completely flat and is now only coming out all but millimetres, so you can see there is a tooth there but at the same time it leaves a huge gap

would this be able to be built up on or would an implant be the only option? I need something done. I’m just unaware of the different types of treatment available and I’d appreciate your advice. Thank you for your time. It would be great to hear back from you.

Hello and thank you for getting in touch. It sounds like it could probably be built up if the root is healthy enough but I would need to see you in person to ascertain if this is possible or not. You could look up veneers and cosmetic bonding through this website to find out more and then ask an experienced dentist who has previous examples of this type of restoration. I hope this helps you. Kind regards, Dr Andrew Moore.
