I Have A Broken Milk Tooth Which Won’t Grow Back. Should I Remove It Or Leave It?

Q.
Hello Dr Hughes. I’m wondering if you can help me? I am 18 years old and I have a milk tooth in front of my mouth which is broken half way down and I was told by my dentist that if I removed the tooth it won’t grow back. I don’t know what to do should I remove it or leave it? Please I need your help or advice. I would be very grateful if you come to my aid. Which cosmetic treatment would help me fix half a tooth?

Hello and thank you for your enquiry. Sometimes they eventually have to come out anyway due to pain or infection. Best to discuss all the options you have to replace it if indeed it has to go, well in advance. There are lots of potential ways to treat the problem. You may want to read up on dental veneers, cosmetic bonding, partial dentures or dental implants. You can find information on these through this website. This will help you when it comes to a consultation with your dentist. Kind regards, Mark.
