I have 4 tooth removed nd braces fixed but my jaw looks misaligned?

Q. Hello there,i was wondering if you could help me.When i was about 12 i had 4 larger teeth removed towards the back of my mouth.2 on the top and 2 on the bottom.I had these removed due to overcrowding.I then had fixed train track braces fitted on the top and bottom of my teeth.I had these fixed for about a year but i had them removed as i was getting constant headaches and we thought this might be causing the problem.Since having the teeth removed and the braces fitted my appearence has totally changed. My jaw is completely crooked which is totally noticeable, especially in photographs where i cannot stand to look at myself. My face itself has become alot longer and thinner and the the pallet in my mouth has caved in.Instead of being a nice u shape it is much more like a v shape and it feels as though i am biting on the side of my teeth. When i have seen my dentists they say that there is nothing wrong but this has being really bothering me for years and it is my crooked jaw that really upsets me and i am desperate to try and sort this out and have a straight face again. Please can you help me.Look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.

A. If your problem is purely a tooth position issue a brace will sort out your issues.  However it sounds as though your jaw growth has been uneven over the years.  This is unlikely because of your tooth extractions.  If this is the case you may need surgery to reposition your upper and lower jaws possibly in combination with a fixed brace

I have grown up with a very crooked jaw….causing one of my front teeth to wear halfway down, from the bottom tooth hitting it. (I have also had all my jaw teeth pulled years back from cavities, due to not taking care of my teeth, as I was growing up) I am wanting false teeth…the question is “Can a set of false teeth be made for a very crooked jaw?” Thank You.

Hello, i was wandering if you would be able to offer me some advice regarding cosmetic dentistry.

I suffer from a rare disfigurement that basically destroys the symmetry in my face, to give a slanted effect. I had a big surgery a year and a half ago, to correct the symmetry in my chin, but due to not have had any jaw work done my teeth are still left looking slanted. I have already had full braces, but am really insecure about my three front teeth i feel like if i had veneers placed in a strait manner it would aid the production of symmetry regarding my appearance. Would this be an option for me?

Thank-you

Jessie
