Q. Hi, I am 27 years old and recently had 4 teeth removed (pre molars)in order to have braces put on. After reading online, some say teeth should never have to be removed. I did have overcrowding and all my life dentist did tell me if I was ever to get braces, teeth would need to be removed. I guess my questions are: Why remove premolars instead of wisdom? Does it really alter my face? And, the average human should have 32 teeth, now i only have 26. Should I be worried? Is it common to have that many teeth removed?
