I Had My Veneers Filed Down But Now They Are Too Small. Would Cosmetic Bonding Help In This Case?

Q.
Hi there Dr Gambroudes, I recently got composite veneers, 8 top and 8 bottom. However when I first saw them I thought they were two long and bulky so I asked to get them shaved down a bit. But now that I’ve had them I feel as if they are too short as I have quite big lips and unless I am smiling really big you can’t really notice that I have even had my teeth done. I’m regretting my decision to have them shaved down. Is there anyway I can go back and add more composite bonding to make them a tiny bit longer in length? Or what are my other options? I’m really unhappy and am sad everytime I look at them. Kind regards.

Hello and thank you for contacting me. I would need to see you in person to determine the correct course of action. It might be possible with cosmetic bonding however to find a solution. You should ask your dentist and explain your unhappiness. If you would like more information on veneers and cosmetic bonding you should search this website which has acts as a helpful guide on these matters. Kind regards, Marcus Gambroudes.
