I Had Implants Fitted In Hungary But One Didn’t Take. Should I Demand That They Refit It?

Q.
Hello Dr Moore. I had six dental implants in total fitted which was completed in Budapest. Unfortunately one did not take. I had to go back to get it sorted when I returned to Budapest to have crown fittings. I have just been fitted with a zirconium crown for that implant but the implant is visible. The dentist whom did the crown has suggested waiting a month then he will fill the gap with a pink porcelain. What’s your opinion on this? Should I demand a refit or is this acceptable?
A.
Hello and thank you for getting in touch. I can’t really tell without seeing you but it sounds like it might need remaking? You can run the risk of these problems occurring when you travel abroad as there is less accountability for poor dental treatment than if you stayed in the UK. I would advise you to visit an experienced implantologist for this. If you’d like more information on dental implants you can find a page through this website. Thank you.
