I had fixed braces from age 13-16 and have since worn

Q. Hello there, I had fixed braces from age 13-16 and have since worn a retainer one night per week. I am now 20 and upon noticing 2 of my front teeth were becoming slightly crooked in a short period of time i visited my dentist to ask what it could be. After taking a xray she showed me that my wisdom teeth are coming through and are applying pressure to my other teeth causing them to move. She suggested i increase the wear of my retainer to every night, however i believe my teeth are still moving.Would it be possible to undergo removal although the wisdom teeth are causing me no other problems as i am financially unable to have orthadontist treatment for a second time as i am a student. I am aware of all possible side affects etc. I’d be very grateful for any advice.

A. Hello without examining your teeth it is difficult to say however, removing wisdom teeth is a common procedure but you would need the opinion of a dentist / orthodontist, after an examination before making the decision to move ahead with this. I would recommend that you wear your retainer to stop your teeth moving back too.
