I had a root canal treatment and my temporary crown are not perfect what can i do now?

Q. I had a root canal done on my front teeth, and I start noticing a discoloration , wich was not that bad.So I went to the dentist, she sugest that I have a crow put on it.I went back there, she did everything was supost to do before the temporary crow.My question is that my temporary crow is so horrible,is yellow ,heavy, does not even close match my other teeth.Has been almost a month, and my permanente crow is not ready yet. What can I do? I call the dentist , and they say thats not they can do,not temporary crow is perfect., but what she put on my front tooth is terrible,is making me cry every day, when I look myself on the mirror. thank you.

A. The temporary is just that a temporary. It is meant to be a nice solution to tide you over until the final is made. I would if I were you call the practice and ask them to book you for a trial fit of the new crown – at this appointment your dentist will try in the new crown and discuss with you the shape and colour prior to final cementation – they are also able to cement it with a tempoary cement and let you wear it for a couple of days so you can get a feel for it. Dont have it cemented permantely until you are happy with the shpae and colour.
