I find it impossible to wear my dentures

Q.
I eventually gave in and let my dentist cut back my 2 front teeth and have dentures. I can’t wear them. They feel too thick and make me choke. The teeth on dentures are very small, the size my original teeth have become due to wear. I cannot smile and show teeth when they are in as they are too short. and not a very nice colour. I kept putting off having dentures as I was worried about having them. They are only the top set. After trying with dentures, I ended up getting an abscess on my bottom wisdom tooth that had a GOLD crown (which I have since found out isn’t really gold)and had to have it taken out at the hospital I no longer have any confidence i n him after my last visit last year despite being with him over 30 years. I was an NHS patient but will soon have a small windfall to enable me to go private.

Not sure what advice you need but if you’re not sure about your current dentist then maybe find another dentist recommended by a friend. It might be worth finding someone who does dental implants as this maybe the solution to replace the denture

Wasnt a lot of help. I have no intention of returning to my original dentist. I dont have many teeth left at all and was wondering what sort of cost it would entail to have implants instead of dentures.
