I feel that I was cheated out of money during my consultation. Was it unfair to charge extra, or is this normal practice?
Q. Hi, I recently went for a consultation to potentially get braces, hopefully the invisalign. I was aware that the cost of the consultation was £85, but during the meeting with the dentist I was told I would also need to have moulds taken to determine if the braces were suitable at a further cost of £180. Is this normal practise? I really felt like I had been put on the spot, that I would learn nothing from my £85 consultation without incurring a further cost of £185, just to find out if I the braces would be suitable for me. I felt cheated out of the money, as all I wanted was the consultation.,
A. You need to discuss this with your dentist, perhaps he will take that off the cost of the Invisalign
