I Don’t Like The Shape And Colour Of My Teeth. Is It A Good Idea To Get Them Replaced By Dental Implants?

Q.
Can I get or do I need dental implants if I don’t like my teeth? I have the money and I am prepared for the surgery it’s just I don’t like the look of them. There’s nothing wrong that I know of with them other than the shape and colour. Even after I brush them or should I just get them shaped and whitened? What would be the best option? When I was little my teeth kept falling out like I’d lose one then another two later but now I’m older it doesn’t happen. My dad had to get his taken out and dental implants put in because his fell out when he was little and then again and then later in life so I don’t know if I would have the same problem. I don’t want to get older and have no teeth or missing ones in my mouth. Thank you.

Hello and thank you for getting in touch. Without seeing you in person I would say it is unwise to get the teeth replaced with dental implants when your teeth are healthy. You may have some hereditary inclination toward tooth loss so it would be important to visit your dentist as regularly as possible. With regard to aesthetics, you would need to visit an experienced cosmetic dentist and run through your options. It’s a good idea to gain as much information as possible. You can research veneers, cosmetic bonding and tooth whitening procedures which may be of help to you, through this website. Regards, Marcus.
