I Broke My Jaw A Few Years Back And Since Then My Top Teeth Have Started To Decay. How Can I Afford This Treatment?

Q.
Hi Dr Moore, I’m 25 years old and have some seriously bad teeth, to the point where I don’t smile! I did have my jaw broke a few years back and my teeth have got so much worse since then! I have been in a lot of pain in previous procedures and I don’t think I could go through it again! My main issue at the moment is a decaying surface on one of my top teeth which is very visible and it’s getting me down! Do you have any advice that can help me? Financially is there any thing you can help me with also? Thanks.
A.
Hello. It’s very hard to give you any advice except to try to get a recommendation of a good local dentist to give you a thorough assessment and plan for treatment. Ask your dentist for a local anaesthetic or find a clinic which offer sedation depending on the type of procedure you have. You can ask your dentist to try and refer you to a local dental hospital for reduced rates, other than that you can search the internet for a clinic which offers a viable payment plan. If your teeth are decaying you need to have this checked over as it will not go away. Thank you for having the courage to speak to me about this. Dr Andrew Moore.
