I am missing a tooth and my gums are shrinking, what should I do?
Q.
my top tooth is missing in the front and teeth either side are lose plus my gums are slightly shrinking, i understand that its cosmetic but would it be my GP or my dentist to refer me to hospital to have this work carried out on the HSS for free.

It sounds like you could have some gum issues that need to be sorted out first. Your local dentist should be able to at least diagnose if this is a problem and then treat the problem for you or refer you to a Periodontist or gum specialist. If you cannot afford to have this treatment privately then a referral to your local dental hospital may be possible. Ask your dentist for advice
