I am having a lot of pain after my oral surgery. Is this a normal thing?

Q. I had a sinus lift 8 days ago… I am still have severe pain in my inner cheek area with less pain in the surgical area… I went back to the oral surgeon yesterday due to the cheek pain – he deadened my mouth (of course in the cheek area where all my pain is) with shots being so unbearable I was shaking… Long story short he saw no infection or any problems any where? He was very confused as to why I was still in such pain. Like I said the pain is 90% in my inner left cheek. Have u ever heard of this??,
A. Hi No I haven’t , but if you still have concerns I would see your surgeon.
