I am 25, I have gaps in between and either side of my front 2 middle teeth please advice.

Q. Hi, I had 2 front teeth taken out when I was younger. Either side of my middle two. I have had gaps for years and it has made me very depressed. I think the gaps have gotten smaller over time, and my two front teeth now have a small gap between them too, as if they have spread out. I have been reading about implants but this seams like it wouldn’t be an option as the gaps are now too small for replacement teeth, but too large for braces to pull them together. I am not sure what to do. I don’t currently have a dentist, this problem has been upsetting me for years I am now 25, and I have not been able to face the dentist since they took the teeth out when I was 19. Thanks.

A. Hi, I’m sorry to hear of your problem. this is a common problem for the lateral incisors but it could be corrected using either a brace to open the space to the correct size then place implant crowns into the gaps, or place veneers on the other front teeth to improve the general apperance. I would be very happy to take a look for you please feel free to contact my clinic on 01245 268 494
