How to I stop other gaps forming after a tooth extraction?

Q.
Hi there, I have a question about tooth extraction. I had my molar taken out which has left behind a huge gap. When i smile, you can see that my molar is not there! I do have a wide smile. My question is, will the rest of my teeth move towards that side to fill the gap? therefore creating gaps between my teeth? I already have two gaps which are getting wider and i hate smiling because of them! Plz plz plz can you give me some advice on how to prevent this from happening, what are my options? Many thanx. Sarah

Your best option is to consider placing a tooth in the gap with a dental implant. This would help to stop the teeth moving without damaging other teeth in the process
